Step-by-Step Instructions to Create a Trust Wallet for BNB and Add a Custom Token
Follow these simple steps to set up your Trust Wallet, securely store your BNB, and add a custom token:
Step 1: Download Trust Wallet
1. Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your mobile device.
2. In the search bar, type "Trust Wallet".
3. Look for the official app published by "DApps, Inc." and click Install (or Get on iOS).
Step 2: Open Trust Wallet and Create a New Wallet
1. After installation, open the Trust Wallet app.
2. When you first launch the app, you'll see the option to Create a New Wallet or I already have a wallet.
3. Tap on Create a New Wallet.
Step 3: Backup Your Recovery Phrase
1. Trust Wallet will now provide you with a 12-word recovery phrase. This is extremely important for recovering your wallet in case your phone is lost or stolen.
2. Write down the 12-word phrase and store it in a safe place—do not share it with anyone.
3. Confirm the recovery phrase by selecting the words in the correct order.
4. Tap Continue once you've written down and confirmed your recovery phrase.
Step 4: Set Up Your Wallet Security
1. You may be prompted to set up additional security, such as a PIN code or biometric authentication (fingerprint or face
recognition).
2. Set your preferred security method to ensure that your wallet is safe from unauthorized access.
Step 5: Add BNB to Your Wallet
1. After your wallet is set up, you’ll be taken to the main screen of your Trust Wallet.
2. Tap the "+" icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to add a new coin.
3. Search for BNB (Binance Coin) in the list of available cryptocurrencies.
4. Toggle the switch next to BNB to add it to your wallet.
5. Your BNB address is now ready to receive BNB.
Step 6: Receive BNB in Your Wallet
1. On the main screen of your Trust Wallet, tap BNB to open your BNB wallet.
2. Tap the "Receive" button to display your BNB address (QR code and alphanumeric address).
3. Copy the address or scan the QR code with another device to send BNB to your wallet.
Step 7: Add a Custom Token to Your Wallet
1. On the main screen of your Trust Wallet, tap the "+" icon in the upper-right corner again.
2. In the search bar, type the token name or contract address of the custom token you want to add.
i. If the token is listed on Trust Wallet, it will appear in the search results. You can toggle the switch next to the token
name to add it.
ii. If the token is not listed, you can manually enter the contract address by selecting "Add Custom Token".
3. To add a custom token, you will need:
i. Network: Select the correct network - Binance Smart Chain
ii. Contract Address: Enter the contract address of the token - 0x4320F541021f91dD7AA54DE42e3fA41283978d70
iii. Name: Enter the name of the token - MDDC
iv. Symbol: Enter the symbol – N/A
v. Decimals: Enter the decimals - (use 18 decimals)
4. Once all the details are filled in, tap Save.
5. Congratulations your custom token will now appear in your Trust Wallet.
